Sally Slaughter – #44

On December 31, 2009 TCR’s beloved #44, Sally Slaughter, passed away just shy of her 27th birthday. Sally had been with TCR since the introduction of the league in early 2006. Never having been on skates, Sally was an amazingly natural player and immediately took to roller derby, becoming a major threat to opposing leagues. Having to sit out the 2009 season due to medical problems, Sally was none the less always by her teammates side as line coach, proving herself a die-hard TCR time and time again. Sally was not only a wonderful teammate, but also friend, sister and daughter. Our hearts are greatly saddened by our loss and our sympathies go out to any and all who knew her. We will always love and miss you Sgt Slaughter.
